More Montreal
Ashley hiding
She can't hide any longer
Officially Annoyed
Ashley with our gracious host
Newly acquired travel tip:
Don't use MapQuest. Period.
It sent us to exit 98.
Sandra's exit is 90.
So my BlackBerry has GPS and it got us there
safe and sound - after a couple of wrong turns.
In Montreal.
In rush hour.
Results: 3 hours sitting in traffic ........
Autoroute 20 Ouest
la maison Simon's, you're my new favorite.
Not by a little. By a lot.
Simon's is Quebec's department store. Its wonderful
and amazing! So many sales! So much selection!
Thousands of square feet of bright colours, crazy patterns
and funky, chunky jewellery. And the best part?
the SOLDES sign splaying itself across the window.
(pardon my french - but that's SALE in english)
Is there a better word?
So. Funny story. I was waiting for Ashley to finish her interview.
Trying not to stray too far, or to go to too many places without her, I
am wandering.
And from a distance, I see this red, square sign, with the Omega symbol.
I thought that was kind of funny, because theres one just around the corner.
But we're not in the Maritimes, so Lulu is like Tim's; one on every corner.
So I cruise down, already laden with some bags (and it was REALLY hot by now)
As I get closer, I realize the sign isn't a Lulu store, but a Sushi place ....
I actually laughed out loud. Because here I was, walking so purposefully and
I literally stopped in my tracks and laughed.
Then took a picture.
The only picture of Ash and I on the trip.
I really should take a little more pride in myself.
Why didn't someone tell me I looked like this??
Anyway, its the only postable picture of San and I!
This amazing, eclectic restaurant on St. Catherines.
Called eggspectation. Huge breakfast for $10.
No Ashley, you don't add the two
to get your speed. It doesn't work that way.
Traffic Jam. Or just regular Montreal rush hour traffic.
We were spectacles!! People talking to us from
other cars saying stuff like " I bet you don't see
traffic like this in Halifax."
As I sat in a Starbucks waiting for the shops to open,
this was my view.
This poor truck just inched his way through that intersection.
Ahhhhh..... St. Catherines.
Something you'll never hear a Cape Bretoner say ...

Shubenacadie - 4:50 (ish) am.
Such an amazing start to our roadtrip!
I love the truck in this picture. Its almost eerie ...
First $60 fill up of our trip. 5 more to come.
It was an early start to the day, resulting in unwashed hair
and 'reapplied in the car' makeup. I wanted to make sure
it looked ok. My makeup looks fine. Its the wrinkled forehead
that has me worried!
