Drastically Changing the Subject

So, being the tender age of, whatever tender age I am,
Its super important to start REALLY taking care of my skin.
When, in theory, you should always take great care of it, but particularly
when you hit 27 or so.
ANYWAY, most nights, I don't wash my face.
Gross, I know, but whatever. I don't.
I wake up looking like, something you don't want to see when you wake up.
Big pores, mascara rubbed into my poor skin halfway down my face.
etc. you get the picture. Though I'm sure you don't want to.
So since I came back to AB, I've been diligently scrubbing, toning,
lifting and tightening.
And you wouldn't even believe the difference. I noticed a change within a couple of days, and after 7 weeks, its incredible.
I still have laugh lines, but Its so clean looking all the time now.
My foundation goes on nicer, and my face is always hydrated.
I've been using all kinds of different products though.
Because Mom gives me all her samples from her Clinque bonus packs,
and I've gotten Meleluca stuff from Iris, I don't know what the best is.
Heres what I do:
Morning: Meleluca face WASH. Biore toner. L'oreal lift and separate stuff (red and white tall bottle with two different types of moisturizer - a cream and a gel) I don't love that though.
I've used Clinque dramatically different moisturing GEL. It's marvelous! And I was using an anti aging serum from Nicole Miller (Meleluca) which has VitC in it. Also amazing. I used it all up though.
(sorry if you're bored)
Then at night: Meleluca SCRUB. beautiful product. Same toner, Clinque Eyewear Repair and and Heavy Duty Night time moisturizer.

Don't know why I'm sharing this, other than IF YOU'RE OVER 27, DO THIS!!!
The earlier you start, the less damage control has to be done!

Oh, and P.S. - don't misunderstand me - this doesn't perform miracles. I don't wake up all dewy and fresh - but its a VAST improvement over the alternative. But the rest of the day really sees the benefits. And in the morning, you're face is still moisturized. Quite amazing.

Just a little piece of advice from an over-27-year-old with too much time on her hands!

Later!

AND ANOTHER THING : I was sporting a pretty serious Bert and Ernie look the other day and thought even though funds are a premium right now, so is my self image, and went to get my eyebrows waxed (nearly $8 cheaper than home !!!!) and she decided to 'thread' them instead.
I declined, saying I'd heard it hurts.
She persisted, saying No, you'll love it so much you'll come back to me always. (direct quote)
I relented. Laid down on the bed and made her promise to make them perfect - that I was looking for work and noone was going to hire me with wacky eyebrows.
She concurred and proceeded to ......
RIP THE FREAKIN HAIR OFF MY FACE, CLUCKING SOOTHINGLY THE ENTIRE TIME.
I was in SO MUCH pain! My legs were up in the air!!!!
It hurt SO MUCH!!!!
At least with waxing, it hurts for .5 of a second. Not this.
It just keeps ripping and ripping and ripping.
I almost asked her stop. Then visualized what my eyebrows would really look like and let her proceed.

Anyway - the end result. Worth the pain. And she said it won't grow back for a long time.
And the same price as waxing.

While I was there, I asked for nail polish remover to take the chipping orange polish off the one thumb nail I'd tried it on last week.

I'm a trainwreck. Really. I am.

Okay. Really going now.

Have a super Wednesday. I'm off to the gym. Using my free week. Oh yeah. I know all the unemployed tricks. And this ain't Halifax - theres more than two gyms to choose from here! So I should be good for a while!

Okay. REALLY going now.
